Cryogenic ISO Tank Containers for Liquid Helium – 20FT and 40FT

CTT 20FT and 40FT cryogenic ISO tank containers for liquid helium are designed for multimodal transport by road, rail and sea and can also be used as stationary cryogenic storage tanks.

Product family overview

Liquid-helium tank containers for multimodal transport and stationary storage.

Each CTT liquid-helium tank container combines a cryogenic pressure vessel with an ISO frame for multimodal road, rail and sea logistics. The same container can also be used as a stationary storage tank when integrated with the required transfer, pressure-control and safety systems.

CTT presents a compact 20FT configuration and a higher-capacity 40FT cryogenic ISO tank container for liquid helium. The correct selection depends on the required delivered mass, route, handling constraints and documentation scope.

Applications

Where this product family can be used.

01

Intercontinental helium logistics

Long-distance movement between helium supply sources, logistics hubs and receiving facilities.

02

Research and medical supply

Project-specific supply chains serving research facilities, MRI operations and other helium-dependent users.

03

Stationary cryogenic storage

Use the container as an on-site liquid-helium storage tank when connected to the specified transfer, pressure-control and safety systems.

04

Multimodal transport

Road, rail and sea movement where the planned route, approvals and handling arrangements support the operation.

Buyer guide

Match the helium container to the delivery profile.

Helium quality and filling state

Confirm required purity, filling temperature, available pressure and the loading-source interface.

Required delivered payload

Define the useful helium mass required at destination and the planned delivery frequency so capacity can be matched to the supply need.

Journey and waiting time

Include filling, transfer, waiting and unloading time when setting the required holding performance and expected delivered quantity.

Loading and unloading interfaces

Provide connection, transfer, pressure and receiving-system information for both ends of the journey.

20FT or 40FT format

Compare payload, delivery frequency, handling equipment and available site space to select the most practical container format.

Inspection and documentation

Confirm the destination markets and any customer-specific approval, inspection, certification and operating-record requirements.

Inspection & certification

Every CTT tank container is inspected, tested and certified.

Every CTT tank container is manufactured under a defined quality and inspection plan. Welds and critical pressure-vessel components are examined using applicable non-destructive testing methods, including ultrasonic testing and radiographic (X-ray) examination, in accordance with the approved design and international pressure-vessel standards. Each completed unit undergoes pressure testing, leak-tightness testing and final conformity inspection before delivery and is supplied with the applicable certificates, inspection records and technical documentation.
